Crossroads & Matsuri is an expansion and requires the base game Tokaido to play.

Tokaido: Crossroads & Matsuri combines the original two expansions and expansion travelers (including most promos) into one box.

Crossroads (referring to alternative choices along the path) adds cherry trees in full bloom, luxurious bathhouses, good luck charms, calligraphy, legendary objects, and even clandestine gambling rooms to the Tokaido journey! Matsuri (the Japanese word for festivals), triggered by the arrival of the Travelers at intermediate Inns, enliven the path with unique events. A number of new Travelers are now also available for the trip.

This expansion is compatible with both the Stonemaier and previous versions of Tokaido.
