Used Games are for sale in BHG!

We have an amazing selection of used games in the loft of our store! All used games are for purchase in-store only. All of our used game comes from within the BHG community. Each game is graded on overall quality before being put on the shelves for resale.

We buy and sell used games!  We are interested in most types of board games: strategy, party, family, kids, etc.  We do not buy jigsaw puzzles, miniatures, or CCG's through our Used Game program. If you are interested in selling any TCG/CCG cards, please refer to our TCG Buy & Resell Program here.

Selling Process

Quick overview:

Scheduling a drop-off appointment is required for our Buy & Re-Sell Used Game program. Due to high demand, we are often booked out a couple of months in advance. Drop-off appointments may be scheduled on the following 3 days a week: Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. When We will then give you a call and let you know which games we are interested in and give you an offer. Please be prepared to pick-up any games that we do not buy before the following weekend or they will be forfited to the store.

NOTE: email a copy of your games list to [email protected] before you come in for your appointment. We can save you some time by letting you know which ones we are/are not interested in seeing.

Thank you for your interest in selling us your used games! This information is designed to serve as a reference for our drop off process and lay out the expectations on our end and yours. If you have further questions, feel free to reach out by phone (206-282-0540) or by email ([email protected])

Schedule an Appointment: Drop-offs are by appointment only and we limit drop offs to 20 games per day for most of the year.
Currently, we are accepting appointments Friday-Sunday. We are unable to accept games without an appointment.
Appointments can be booked up to a max of 2 months in advance. Please note that appointments fill up fast! We are often fully booked multiple weeks, sometimes months in advance.

Appointment Reminders & Game Lists:  Our used game buyer will contact you two weeks prior your appointment date. They will remind you of your appointment and ask you to email a list of the games you are planning to bring in. Emailing the list of games you intend to and are interested in selling is required and due ONE Week prior to your appointment. Our used game buyer will then look over the list and tell you if there are any games that we would not be interested in looking at. If a list is not received by one week prior, our Used Game buyer may attempt a second reminder. Lists turned in day-of or a couple days prior to the appointment are considered late and may not be responded to.
*Please note that all games are subject to review, each game will be priced based on its resell ability, demand, and quality of the game.

Appointment Day: On the day of your appointment, you are free to drop off anytime during the store's business hours. Check-in with staff at the counter, they will assist you with the drop-off process.

Processing & Offers: Our buyer will take typically 5-10 days to process your games. Once the offer is ready, they will contact you with your initial offer in cash/check or store credit. We expect prompt replies to the offer. If you have not responded within 3 days, a second attempt to contact you will be made. A final attempt to contact you will be made ONE WEEK following your initial offer; we will reach out via EMAIL and PHONE CALL. If a response is not received within ONE BUSINESS DAY following the third attempt, store credit will be issued to your customer account according to your offer and all dropped-off games will be made available to sell. If there are games that we decide not to purchase or are unable to accept from the drop-off, we will make that clear in our initial email. Furthermore, if there are games you no longer wish to sell to us, please make that apparent in your response so we can adjust payment accordingly. 

Game(s) Pick Up: All unaccepted or rejected games must be picked up within a week of the initial offer email. Abandoned games will be forfeited to Blue Highway Games and dealt with as we see fit. If more time is needed to pick up games, exceptions to this timeline may be given if clear communication and reasonable requests. We have very limited storage space for used games, which is why we have a tight timeline for pick-ups. 

Offer/Payment: Before you can receive any payment, we require that you respond to us ahead of time with which offer you would like to take (cash/check or store credit), then wait for our game buyer to contact you saying that your payment is ready. Once payment has been processed, you are free to come and pick up anytime during the store's business hours. All cash payments over $20 will be provided via check.
