"Based out of Seattle, playtestNW is a collective of designers with the sole mission of bringing enjoyment through tabletop games to the masses. Our playtestNW events wouldn't be the same without the generous help of the eager gamers and game designers who volunteer their time for event hosting and community outreach."

What is playtesting?

Playtesting a game is a vital part of the creation process for designers. It is a space where designers invite a wide variety of people to test out their game! There are largely two stages to playtesting; playing the game and a feedback session. Designers gain valuable insight by observing their game being played; studying the overall flow, the success of mechanics, what decisions players make, and the presentation of the game, among many other aspects. Feedback from playtesters may be given in a written format and/or a conversation following the game's conclusion. Playtesting is a wonderful way to engage in the process of game design. The insights and feedback gained during playthroughs could be what inspires changes to the game that bring it to success and publishing! Who knows, a game you playtest may end up for sale on the shelves of your local game store!

Interested in playtesting prototype games or having your prototype game playtested?  RSVP on Meetup, the link is posted below.
Designers: After you RSVP leave a comment on the Meetup Event page to let PlaytestNW know you are attending & the name of the game you'll be bringing, this is so we can reserve a table for you or get you on the waitlist!
Walk-ins are always welcome, however, space is limited and tables are FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE.
